So with the release of Windows 7 approaching its October 22 release date Microsoft has Sent the "final" version of the release to all manufacturers, retailers and outlets to get all techs ready to do the OEM installs on new machines, and I of course got my greedy little mits on that CD.

I will have a full review and screens ready for your amazing viewing at DMN when I have it completed.

As someone who may possibly be buying a new laptop in the near future, is there a certain computer brand or set of hardware specifications that will best complement the Windows 7 features? Or is it just going to be so awesome it won't matter what kind of computer you have?

Nahh, Each manufacturer will have a different set of applications and different hardware. It will all come down to the Brand Preference of the user.

The System Requirements of 7 aren't that far off of Vista's so in theory if your machine runs well with vista it will with 7. However, the release date is still 2 months away and M$ has been known to f**k with their releases within the last month of the development, so anything can happen.

I really can't wait for it to be out. Tempted to save up after NY and buy a new computer but really, i've only had mine for almost 2 years now.

I need a computer to be able to do my music composition, and really that's hard to find with a nice processor and high ammounts of ram in a laptop. I'd also love to keep my tablet screen option, and thats not possible I don't think...

oh the woes of wanting a new laptop. haha.
